Introducing the 2021 Kia Sportage Nightfall Edition

The Kia Sportage is back for 2021! Kia’s highly acclaimed, compact crossover SUV now has a sleeker design, all-wheel drive, and a number of standard driver-assistance features. But, one of the most exciting editions to the Sportage might be its two new aesthetic packages — the Nightfall Edition and the Nightfall Edition Premium.
No matter which Nightfall Edition package you choose, these models both bring stylish and luxurious features to the already impressive 2021 Kia Sportage. Dark trims and accents add a mysterious and elevated style to the Sportage, making your car worthy of turning heads as you drive around the Queen City.
Let’s take a closer look at both of the exclusive packages to see what features they have to offer, as well as how the Nightfall Edition compares to the Nightfall Edition Premium.
The 2021 Kia Sportage S Trim Option
Typically, aesthetic packages are included as add ons for higher level trims, but Kia is giving us both of the Nightfall Edition packages with its second trim option — the Sportage S.
Starting at $26,590, the Sportage S trim model features a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that is capable of 181 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. The S trim also comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission and notable safety features, such as blind-spot detection technology and rear cross-traffic collision warning.
The basic S trim includes stunning design choices on its own — such as 18-inch dark gray alloy wheels, synthetic leather seat trim, and metal-look skid plates — but it just gets better with the Nightfall Edition! Keep reading to see how the Nightfall Edition takes the Kia Sportage’s design features to the next level.
What’s Included in the 2021 Kia Sportage Nightfall Edition
Overview
Don’t expect any mechanical differences with this add on package. When it comes to the 2021 Kia Sportage Nightfall Edition, the upgrades are purely for aesthetics — but that doesn’t mean you’ll be missing out.
Externally, the Nightfall Edition gives the Sportage a stunning makeover. From the interior of the fog lights to the bumpers and radiator grille, the Nightfall Edition features dark trims and piano black accents — making the Sportage more luxurious than ever before.
Exclusive Features
Both the Nightfall Edition and Nightfall Edition Premium packages bring exclusive exterior design features to the Stinger. These features include:
- Special Black Badging
- Gloss Black Radiator Grille with Piano Black Frame
- Black Satin Window Surrounds
- Piano Black Fog Light Surrounds
- Piano Black Front and Rear Bumper Trims
- Piano Black Side Sills
- Piano Black Skid Plates
Nightfall Edition vs. Nightfall Edition Premium
While the Kia Sportage Nightfall Edition mostly consists of exterior features, the Nightfall Premium takes it one step further with plenty of additional interior features for only about $500 more.
Additional Features
In addition to the exterior details listed above, the Nightfall Premium adds advanced technology features that can’t be found in the basic Sportage S model. In fact, most of these features are only available in the more expensive Sportage EX trim. Some of the most notable additions include:
- 8-inch UVO link touchscreen
- SiriusXM Satellite Radio
- Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go
- Wireless Phone Charger
- Smart Key with Push-Button Start

- Dual-Zone Automatic Temperature Control Air Conditioning
Pricing
Pricing for the Sportage S starts at $26,590 — and surprisingly, upgrading to a Nightfall Edition won’t break the bank. For an extra $1,500, you can add the luxurious Nightfall Edition package to either the front-wheel or all-wheel drive builds of the Stinger. Meanwhile, the Nightfall Premium Package will add $1,800 to the all-wheel drive Sportage S, or $2,000 to the front-wheel drive option.
